Cuba felt a little bit like a time warp at times.
The lack of modern day slogans such as McDonalds and Starbucks, the autopistas (highways) getting clogged up with horses and carts rather than semi-trailers, but most notably the 1950’s cars which often outweigh the modern vehicles on the road.
Images of 1950’s Fords & Chevrolets have become icons of Cuba, so it’s only natural that I have to share pictures of some of the classic cars I snapped whilst roaming around the island.
Parked in the back streets of Havana Vieja
At a roadside stop near Soroa, on the road from Havana to Viñales
Cruising around the streets of Cienfuegos
The original Ford Ute? Some cars have undergone interesting modifications over the years
Stopped to take some photos of the sunset before descending into the Viñales Valley, but the car ended up being main attraction
